Stockholm – H.E. Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, paid an official visit to the Kingdom of Sweden, during which he was received with full military honors by H.E. General Micael Bydén, Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces.
During the visit, H.E. the Chief of Staff held a series of meetings with senior Swedish officials, including H.E. Mr. Pål Jonson, Minister of Defence of Sweden; H.E. Mr. Carl-Oskar Bohlin, Minister for Civil Defence; H.E. Mr. Peter Sandwall, State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence; and H.E. Mr. Johan Berggren, State Secretary for Civil Defence. The meetings were attended by H.E. Sheikha Nadia bint Ahmed Al Sheebi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Sweden, and the accompanying delegation.
The discussions focused on enhancing military and defense cooperation between the two countries and exploring ways to further develop this partnership in the interest of mutual security.
H.E. the Chief of Staff also met with senior officials from Nammo and Saab companies, where they reviewed opportunities for strengthening defense industrial cooperation and developing future partnerships.
This visit reflects the State of Qatar’s commitment to deepening its bilateral relations with the Kingdom of Sweden and advancing military and defense cooperation, contributing to regional and international security and stability.
